Career Connected Learning Field Trip

Dear Parent or Guardian,
Through a partnership with the High Desert ESD, we have an opportunity to take our 7th and 8th grade students on a field trip. Please read the information at the top of this form, then sign and return the permission slip at the bottom of this form by Wednesday October 1, 2025.
Date: Thursday October 2, 2025
Location: Keith Manufacturing(Madras) and BASX (Redmond)
Tentative Schedule:
Arrive at school and grab breakfast
7:40am Load the bus and head to Keith Manufacturing
10:15-11:30 Tour Keith Manufacturing
Lunch on the bus
12:20-1:20 Visit BASX in Redmond
We will return to North Lake following the Campus Tour arriving in time for students to ride the bus home.
Special Instructions: Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather as you will both indoors and outdoors during the visit. No open toed shoes, no shorts, and you must wear long pants. Sack lunches will be provided for the students.

MS football starts Monday August 25. Monday and Tuesday practices will be 4:45-7pm. Wednesday's practice will be 7:15-9:15am. Bring any paperwork you haven't already turned in.

Hi everyone, just a quick reminder. Elementary and MS Camp starts today. I apologize; I did a poor job of getting information out this year. It will be Monday-Thursday 4-6pm.

HS we can lift for an hour after camp. HS camp is August 11-15 from 4:30-7:30.

Parents, It’s been an emotional and a little bit scary day here at school. We had a retirement party for Mr. Missel this afternoon in an all school assembly and then had cake afterwards. The middle school dance got underway in the big gym and K-3rd went to recess in the elementary gym because of the rain. These younger students were in the gym with their teachers when lightning struck a tree on the playground about 50 ft from the gym. This caused a very loud BOOM and took our phones out of commission for a few minutes and we have had some power flickers. We got the students out of the gym very quickly and back to their classrooms for safety reasons and to help settle them. Needless to say some of our younger students were frightened by this occurrence and teachers have been soothing their fears but they will no doubt let you know what happened today. Everyone is safe and accounted for. We will send students home at their regular dismissal time. If you have any questions you can call or message the school.

Parents, Due to the closure of Old Lake Rd. today, the Old Lake Rd bus will be rerouted. Because of this, if you live along any Christmas Valley route you may see a bus pass by your stop. Don't panic! If it's the bus your student is riding it will stop. If it does not stop, it was not the bus your student is on. Both buses should reach their stops at close to their regular scheduled times. Thanks

Congratulations Class of 2025!

Parents, A reminder that tomorrow, June 5th is the last day to sign your student up for summer school. Please call the office to sign them up by 4:00 PM. Summer school is June 23 - July 24 from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Monday through Thursday for incoming kindergarteners to our out going 8th graders.
