SSA Summer Programs for K-9
June 24 through July 25, 2024
PURPOSE
|
- The purpose of this grant program is to provide high-quality summer programming for students entering grades K-9.
|
ELIGIBILITY
|
- Students must be entering Kindergarten or exiting grade 8 to be eligible for the SSA Summer Program.
|
DATES
|
June 24 through July 25, 2024

LOCATION
|
North Lake School
Special Education room, 6th grade classroom, HS SS room
|
HOURS
|
Monday through Thursday
7:00 AM-1:00 PM Staff
8:00 AM-1:00 PM Students
|
GOALS
|
- To provide inquiry-based, hands-on instruction.
- To provide opportunities or physical activity and learn about a healthy lifestyle.
- To support each student’s social and emotional well-being.
|
STAFF
|
- 5 certified teachers.
- 3 trained educational assistants.
|
TRANSPORTATION
|
A bus will be sent to each of the three communities for pick-up of students at a central stop. (Three buses total.)
|
MEALS
|
Meals and snacks will be provided at NL School.
|

Dear Parents,
Summer School is fast approaching, so here is some information you may need:
- SIGN UPS ARE DUE BY THURSDAY, JUNE 6 AT 4:00 PM! Please call the office at 541-576-2121 to sign up. (This deadline is later than in previous years, and it is the final date. No sign-ups will be taken after June 6 at 4:00 PM. Thank you!)
- Dates: June 24 through July 25, 2024
- 8AM-1PM Monday through Thursday (exceptions noted on calendar)
- Students are expected to attend every day, and attendance will be taken.
- Students need to bring PE shoes and a backpack. Because we plan to be outside often, please consider sending a hat and sunscreen. A water bottle is also a good idea.
- Two snacks and a lunch will be served daily.
- A bus will be sent to each of the three communities for pick-up of students at a central stop. More information will be available soon.
