North Lake Education Foundation

History of the Foundation

The North Lake Education Foundation was established in 2012 for the betterment of the North Lake School District.  It is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that is led by the following volunteer board of directors:

  • David Kerr, Executive Director
  • Sam Dinsdale, Board Member
  • Leah Harris, Board Member
  • Ed Henkel, Board Member
  • Clayton Sharp, Board Member

Goal of the Foundation

The goal of the North Lake Education Foundation is to act as a supporting organization for the North Lake School District by providing enrichment funding for those activities, materials, or equipment that cannot be adequately funded through the school's general fund monies.  Examples of these could include field trips, lab equipment, new technology, assemblies, professional development, or other enrichment activities.  As the foundation grows, more expensive ventures, such as student scholarships, the hiring of teachers and/or support staff, and capital construction or remodeling may be funded through the foundation.
